For as long as I can remember, I have been charged by chasing those “aha moments,” the moment when inspiration strikes and a big idea just clicks and starts to make sense. I have an affinity towards all things that hold beauty, tell a story, and spark emotion – things that have been conceptualized and created by someone from nothing. Art, graphic design, fashion, and interiors have all influenced my aesthetic and career path to date. Exploring various mediums throughout my life has given me a better understanding of the creative process, and the ability to communicate big ideas visually.
My enthusiasm and passion for the creative world led me to receiving my BA in Studio Art and Marketing at Catholic University in Washington, DC. From there I spent 5 years honing my design aesthetic at HVS Design, a hospitality design studio, where I developed design concepts, built in-depth presentations, and created storylines for hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Choice, and independent boutique properties. Hospitality design sparked something in me – I loved the idea of designing for the masses, creating an experience, a story, a feeling that multiple people from various walks of life could enjoy. With that came my curiosity for branding – it was another aspect of storytelling that could further enhance a physical experience.
I returned to HVS Design as a freelance consultant in 2017, working alongside the executive team to build a branding department from the ground up. Learning and growing as we developed was both exhilarating and rewarding. Creating cohesive experiential designs really lit that fire for me.
After several more years of freelance work, it made sense that the next step was to do this independently, on a smaller, more intimate scale, while really embracing my own point of view and aesthetic. So here we are, with the goal of bringing thoughtful and cohesive design concepts to life for both homeowners, and small business owners – inviting them to feel those “aha moments” with us, to be able to see, touch, and feel the ideas spinning in our heads.
